The new MHR MODULAR HEAD CYLINDERKITS are the natural evolution of the MHR MALOSSI line. The beautiful result of research by Malossi engineers, they were a decisive factor in the victories of the official national and European teams in the cross and speed trophies. CYLINDER

Material: special aluminum alloy with a high percentage of silicon and titanium that guarantees exceptional elongation strength, even at high temperatures.
Heat treatment: special quenching and stabilizing treatment that gives the material more toughness and strength and ensures that mechanical specifications and size specifications remain unchanged for temperatures up to 250 ° C.
Chip-forming machining: performed on NC machining centers with extremely limited dimensional and shape tolerance (roundness, perpendicularity).
Coating of the inner surface: carried out with silicon carbide on a nickel matrix with heat treatment that guarantees extreme hardness (about 600 HV0, 1/5) and excellent wear resistance.
Internal machining of the cylinder: by means of special machines that allow a certain degree of finish on the cylinder walls, the roughness of which corresponds to the angles set in the design phase (grinding process with a special stone).
Port and exhaust diagrams: specially designed and manufactured for racing. The definition of the port and exhaust schemes required a significant effort from our engineers, both on the engine test benches and on the circuits where the trophy is held.
PISTON

Material: special aluminum alloy with a very high percentage of silicon and titanium that guarantees both excellent heat resistance and elongation strength in temperature fluctuations.
External coating: graphite coating that guarantees a very low friction coefficient.
Structure: reinforced to withstand the load of cylinder units used for competitions at the highest level, but at the same time light enough to reduce the inertia force.
PISTON RING

Very strong modular cast iron ring with ground, wear-resistant, hard chrome metal spray coating on the contact surface.
HEAD

The new modular head of Malossi is specially made to guarantee the elimination of the remarkable amount of heat that develops in an engine with a very high specific power designed for racing.
It consists of a head of a special hardened and tempered aluminum alloy with a high silicon content, which is attached directly to the cylinder cylinder. It is wrapped by the coolant over its entire outer surface, guaranteeing a very large heat exchange surface. In addition, it is free on the inner walls to follow the expansion of the cylinder.
The combustion chamber is fully manufactured using numerical control machines to guarantee shape and size tolerances up to just a hundredth of a millimeter.
The modular head system is completed by a cover that closes the upper part of the cylinder, ensuring that the coolant is completely sealed.
The geometry and cross-section of the combustion chamber for this cylinder is specially designed for use in the Scooter Speed Trophy and Scooter Cross Trophy.
