Malossi is proud to offer the new Digitronic ECU with variable ignition timing!

Compared to the original ECU, Malossi has completely changed the ignition timing performance maps and raised the rev limit to 15,000 rpm. The new Digitronic controls the ignition timing and the SAS valve.

Ignition Timing Performance Map

The ignition timing is controlled by a linear interpolation of a three-dimensional performance map with 16 breakpoints for engine speed and 8 breakpoints for engine temperature.

Performance Map SAS Valve

The secondary air supply to the base of the throttle body allows the engine management system to compensate for the non-linearity typical of carburetor systems. The SAS valve (secondary air source) is controlled by the ECU, which performs a linear interpolation of a performance map with 16 breakpoints for engine speed and 8 breakpoints for engine temperature. The SAS valve reduces emissions and optimizes engine performance under all operating conditions.

Designed to be plug & play, in other words compatible with the original sensors and actuators. The calibrations and fine-tuning result in a clear improvement in engine performance.
